Moore additionally shared a picture of herself sitting next to a camera and tweeted, “Doing off camera work on LOL & getting a little help from Bama!!! She is a true professional!” In the meantime, during their break, Cyrus and her co-star Ashley Greene were spotted taking their pets for a walk.

“LOL: Laughing Out Loud” will serve as a remake of the French film of the same title. It tells the story of a 15-year-old girl who, after dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend, sets her sights on his best friend.

At the same time, her 40-year-old divorcee mother is struggling to move on with her life. The fraught relationship between mother and daughter provides the film with its narrative backbone, along with the younger generation’s obsession with instant messaging.

Beside serving as a helmer, Lisa Azuelos who directed the original version also writes the script for the upcoming film. The drama is yet to secure a release date but it is targeted for 2011 movie.

Hannah Montana: Miley’s ‘The Last Song’ Trailer Released

Posted by: admin | Comments Comments Off

111909 1320 HannahMonta1 Hannah Montana: Mileys The Last Song Trailer ReleasedWith her career as Hannah Montana
behind her, it’s difficult to imagine Miley Cyrus as anyone else. Even so, she’s been trying really hard to break free of that character. She’s been making her own type of music and has even appeared on a Sex and the City 2 cameo. Now, she’s all ready to expose her role in the Nicholas Sparks-penned movie The Last Song.

There’s been plenty of buzz surrounding the film ever since the 16-year-old popstar was romantically linked to her co-star Liam Hemsworth. But maybe all that was just for their scenes.

As we expect, it has family drama and it’s a romance. It has music too, and it’s not exactly what Miley Cyrus is famous for. Maybe that’s a good thing?

MTV News has posted the official trailer of The Last Song on their website, noting how transformed Miley Cyrus seems to have become since her Disney beginnings. Even she has noticed the change in herself and declared that this is the direction she’s planning to take in her career.

“I changed a lot when I was in Tybee Island [Georgia, filming 'Last Song'],” Miley Cyrus told the publication. “I feel like art really does imitate life. So just showing this movie, I feel like I’m really showing a part of my growth as a person as well . So I’m really excited for people to see it, just because of what it means to me, personally.”

Well, let’s just see what Miley has in store for her fans on The Last Song. Given the Parental Guidance note before the trailer, we can bet it’s far from Hannah Montana. Will her tweener fans stick around after this?

On The Last Song, Miley plays the title character Ronnie Miller. The musically inclined teen who got accepted into Julliard has been struggling with the divorce of her parents. But she has to spend summer with her estranged dad to “reconnect.” There, she lucks out and meets this volleyball player (Liam Hemsworth), who she falls for.

We all know the boy-meets-girl story, and The Last Song isn’t all that different from that formula. Then again, fans of Miley Cyrus might enjoy it anyway. The movie hits theaters in April next year.

Hannah Montana: Billy Ray Cyrus Spends ‘Christmas in Canaan’

Posted by: admin | Comments Comments Off

110509 1901 HannahMonta1 Hannah Montana: Billy Ray Cyrus Spends Christmas in CanaanAfter getting a role alongside Jackie Chan and Hannah Montana: The Movie co-star Lucas Till on the new movie The Spy Next Door, Billy Ray Cyrus has received yet another acting gig.  It’s not a sequel to his daughter’s hit movie though, but it’s also a rather family-oriented flick that’s lined up for his career.

According to All Headline News, the 48-year-old country music songwriter and actor will be playing the lead role of Daniel Burton in a Hallmark movie titled Christmas in Canaan.  While it doesn’t look like it will be have any other Hannah Montana
attachments there, he’ll still be portraying the role of a father.  This time, however, to an unruly boy.

Billy Ray’s character Daniel Burton is dad to one of two boys caught in a fight.  But due to unlikely circumstances, they are brought together in Canaan, Texas in the 60s.  It sounds like your usual Hallmark fare, and it was enough to make the Hannah Montana star cry.

Initially turning down the role, Billy Ray Cyrus explained that he called Hallmark again and reconsidered because he remembered his own father.  Growing up, he was told to emulate Kenny Rogers and branch out into acting.

He also said that his role on Christmas in Canaan definitely reminded him of his dad, who died in 2006.  Accepting the part is Billy Ray’s way of paying tribute.

“I feel like this character I’m playing, Daniel, was my dad,” the Hannah Montana actor said.  “Really and truly.  It’s like I’m able to honor him on this role.  And that’s a bigger thrill than I can say.  I also get to sing the theme song for it.  And it was just an amazing shoot, giving me a really challenging role to sink my teeth into and more depth than I was used to as an actor.”

Since he’s so used to being a dad, it’s only fitting that Billy Ray Cyrus take on yet another similar part.  Then again, he’ll be breaking out of that stereotype once The Spy Next Door airs.  But at the moment, let’s catch him on the Hallmark Original Movie titled Christmas in Canaan as it airs this December 12.

‘Hannah Montana’ tops sales chart again

Posted by: admin | Comments Comments Off

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment’s “Hannah Montana: The Movie” was the No. 1 home video seller for the second consecutive week, while three titles from Universal Studios — “Duplicity,” “Fighting” and “The Last House on the Left” — snagged the top three spots on the national video rental chart for the week ending Aug. 30.

On the Nielsen VideoScan sales chart, “Hannah Montana” fended off competition from the two Universal titles that were new in stores last week. “Duplicity,” a romantic thriller starring Julia Roberts that grossed $40.6 million in theaters, debuted at No. 2, while “Fighting,” an actioner about street fighting that took in $23 million, bowed at No. 3. “Hannah” scored an easy victory, with both new titles selling 70% and 69%, respectively, as many copies as the Miley Cyrus hit.

“Fighting” did, however, take the top spot on the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc chart, narrowly squeaking by Walt Disney’s “Adventureland,” a comedy that grossed $16 million in theaters and stars Kristen Stewart of “Twilight” fame. On the overall home video sales chart, “Adventureland” debuted at No. 6 behind “House: Season Five” from Universal Studios and Warner’s “Smallville: The Complete Eighth Season.”

On Home Media Magazine’s rental chart, “Duplicity” scored just as impressive a victory as “Hannah Montana” did on the sales chart. “Duplicity” entered the chart solidly in control of the No. 1 spot, with second-ranked “Fighting” generating 70% as much rental action as the Roberts flick. Horror remake “The Last House on the Left,” which debuted at No. 1 the previous week, slipped to No. 3, with 42% as much rental action as “Duplicity.”

083109 1205 HannahMonta1 Hannah Montana: The Movie rocks out onto DVD

I had so much fun watching this movie and wish more movies were like this one. It was a pleasure to see something that was wholesome, cute, as well as a bit romantic. The movie showed that films can still be great even if they don’t have violence, nudity, harsh language, and sex.

Hannah Montana: The Movie” had a great message as well. The main message is that we should not get caught up with the so-called Hollywood lifestyle. We should always value friends and family before anything else and always be ourselves. It’s definitely a positive message for children, teens and adults to take away as sometimes people get carried away with themselves and pretend to be people that they are not.

Miley Cyrus has been questioned by lately by parents due to her “pole dancing” antics and outfit choice on the Teen Choice Awards. They are considering if she is still a good role model for young teens. All I have to say is that the girl is growing up and growing up in an adult world, as she is making more money than most working adults. Parents have to remember that Miley is attempting to make a name for herself as Miley and not Hannah Montana, though she is still doing the TV show. My solution to parents is let your child look up to her as Hannah, if you don’t like Miley then simply don’t let your kids watch award shows or attend her concerts. Hannah is who is in your child’s heart.

While Cyrus is a questionable role model for young children, she is an amazing actress who is going to come very far in her future. She brings out a joy and innocence and has a lot going for her. In “Hannah Montana” she was able to go through many emotions and struggles, and the audience is definitely able to feel these emotions that she is going through. Miley’s career is definitely taking off this year, with “The Last Song” slated for January 2010 and a possible cameo in “Sex and the City 2.” She is also going on her first tour as Miley and has just released her  hit song, “Party in the USA.”

“Hannah Montana: The Movie”, though sometimes it borderlines into old-school slapstick humor, is a great, heartfelt film to watch with friends, family, or on a night in. It is a blast and filled with so much laughter, emotions, music, and drama that you won’t be able to resist. Take a break from your stresses and rock on to “Hannah Montana: The Movie.”

Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Goes Ex-treme

Posted by: admin | Comments (1)

082009 1440 HannahMonta1 Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Goes Ex tremeA pox on you, Twitter, for making Miley Cyrus’ every sentence appear as important as a cough drop to a pneumonia-ridden man.  It’s another romance rumble over at the webpage of the Hannah Montana
star, as there’s been a back-and-forth exchange between her and ex-beau Justin Gaston.

We all thought we heard the last of him when they broke up back in October last year, but like a bad movie, he’s back with a sequel.  The 20-year-old underwear model who captured the popstar’s heart posted a totally general message on his account.  Unfortunately for him, Miley took it to heart and picked a fight.

“People mistake stupidity for bravery way to easily,” Justin began.  Well then, it was brave of him to forgo good grammar.  Then again, it’s Twitter and the Internet.  Good grammar is hardly ever a priority anymore.  Sad.

Anyway, the 16-year-old Miley Cyrus tweeted back: “Yeah. I love when people mistake bravery with writing a few stupid tweets trying to make it seem like they don’t care.  You’re afraid to love.”

She followed it up with, “Every step I take I am in hopes to get closer to you.  Please don’t leave and if you do can I follow?  Against all odds I fell in love.”

Last week, there was more drama on their Twitters.  Miley posted: “am in between happy and sad today.  I’m happy because I love you.  I’m sad because I can’t get enough of you.”

Justin Gaston also updated with: “Just recorded a demo.  Now I’m sitting on the couch wondering why we as humans try to pretend everything’s OK when it isn’t.  Just be real.”

The Disney princess didn’t back down easily as she replied, “Everything IS ok.  Honestly.  I can’t change you’re mind and your heart no longer belongs to me.  Maybe YOU’RE the one pretending you’re fine.”

Well, let’s just see what happens next then.  Miley bullying her ex is simply too exciting to miss.

The actress suffered a painful fall during scenes for ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie‘ and then hurt her leg as she headed back to her dressing room to recover. She said: “The most embarrassing thing to happen on set was when I busted my face. I tripped over a wire that was in the grass and totally busted it. I was having the worst day because when I went in my trailer, I fractured my ankle falling up the stairs. My mom was like, ‘I don’t know how anybody falls up the stairs and breaks their ankle.’”
