Miley Cyrus has spoken out regarding her peace of mind ahead of her pending international tour, following the restoration of harmony back on the Cyrus homestead. Earlier this year, Miley’s mother and father, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, announced their divorce during a time which also saw Billy Ray voice criticism regarding his daughter’s behavior. However, the divorce has been called off and the families are once again spending time together, which has seen new life breathed into the teen pop sensation.
Miley had faced a series of doubt and reservation regarding the tour, which begins in South America later this month. She spoke of the importance of ensuring all lose ends are tied up and there eliminating negative feelings before going out on the road. Her family have indeed always been incredibly important to her in both personal and professional terms.
However, the star’s popularity on home soil may well be diminishing, as her latest single “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” is due for imminent release, though will not be hitting shelves in the United States. Furthermore, her current tour excludes the US and here are currently no plans in the pipeline to tour in her home country.
The shift in demand has not fazed Miley however, who is said to be incredibly excited regarding the upcoming tour which visits some of her most cherished locations. Her philosophy has always been to perform in other countries and cities with the highest level of love for her, allowing her to give exactly the same back.

“It’s like being behind a jet when it takes off. No, worse,” says a fatigued sound man during a break from the energetically loud concert performances of Miley Cyrus in her new concert tour movie, “Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Worlds Concert,” shot in Disney Digital 3D and playing for one week, starting Friday.
The 15-year-old star of the 69-city concert movie is also the star of the pop phenom “Hannah Montana” TV show, and double platinum-selling albums. The concerts have been selling out for months.
“She’s pretty. She’s smart. She’s a good role model for children; she has a wonderful voice.” So say a chorus of fans at various stops on the tour.
The decibel count may be jacked up to jet-propulsion levels, but audiences attending the concerts presented by Miley and The Jonas Brothers in this film are oblivious to anything but having a good time.
We see a few off-stage moments featuring Miley and her father, country music artist-actor Billy Ray Cyrus. Scenes also feature her mother, Tish Cyrus, who now travels with her daughter helping her with costume changes, and Kenny Ortega, who conceived and produced the tour.
But mostly, we see darkened concert halls with most of the light coming from wands and cell phones being waved as Miley warbles 18 songs, all to wild enthusiasm and what appears to be nonstop screaming.
Miley prances out to the edge of the stage and tells her loving audiences that the only house rule is to never sit down or stop waving in the dark. The audiences obey.
Is the music any good? Besides being loud, it’s bouncy, infectiously upbeat, and when Miley’s strong and true voice can actually be heard over the immense amplification and screaming, it’s impressive.
She does perform an almost totally audible song, “I Miss You,” written in memory of her late grandfather, while playing the acoustic guitar. One wonders why Miley doesn’t sing more songs without overkill amplification, but obviously, she’s playing to her audience.
Interspersed with the performance footage are several funny bits, including fathers racing in high heel shoes to a finish line to qualify for four tickets and backstage passes for a concert.
The only middling off-key moment is when Miley is dropped, albeit a short distance, in a dance number. Miley asks that the toss be eliminated. Ortega goes to work persuading her to keep the dramatic move. “Mom!” Miley pleads with her mother for support.
In the end, Miley does the tricky maneuver and is caught safely, but one realizes that besides being pleasant and talented she knows it’s a good idea to stand up for herself.
Now that is a good role model.

Billy Ray Cyrus has backtracked over comments he made slamming TV show “Hannah Montana” for wrecking his family, insisting he “loves” the program. The country star and his wife Tish filed for divorce in October 2010, and Cyrus subsequently launched a bitter rant about the show that made his daughter Miley Cyrus a star, blaming it for ripping his family apart. He said, “The damn show destroyed my family… I hate to say it, but yes, I do (wish the show hadn’t happened). I’d take it back in a second.”
The Breaky hitmaker called off his divorce this week, March 14, and now he’s reversed his comments about Hannah Montana, praising the series. Speaking on U.S. TV show “The View“, to be aired on Friday March 18, Cyrus says, “I love Hannah Montana. I love Disney. I love our fans who’ve been with us throughout this whole show. This has been an incredible journey. I don’t think Hannah Montana ruined my family, but to set the record straight, I love Hannah Montana. I love Disney. That didn’t tear my family apart. Now fame, fame is a different animal, you’ve got to be careful with that thing.”

There’s a rumor circling around that Billy Ray Cyrus has canceled his appearance on “The View” on a request from his daughter. Miley Cyrus reportedly is angry at dad for talking so candidly about their family’s turmoil to GQ including how he should have been a better parent for Miley and how “Hannah Montana” affected his marriage life.
“When Miley found out her father was scheduled to appear on ‘The View’ on Wednesday she went nuts,” a family friend tells PopEater. “Only last week, Billy shot his mouth off in GQ, and now he planned to sit down with [Barbara and Whoopi] and talk more crap about his family. No way would Miley or her team let that happen.”
But Miley told her dad in a civil way. Another source told Hollywood Life, “Miley was reasoning with her Dad. She kept telling him it would be a bad idea because the ladies of ‘The View’ would grill him the whole time. Plus, the show’s live, so he could easily say something he didn’t mean to say, which would only upset Miley more. Basically, Miley brought her concerns up and Billy Ray accepted it.”
Billy Ray’s representative has confirmed that his trip to NYC has been canceled.

“She told us that working for Disney had launched her career as it had others (Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, etc) but that her girly days are over”, stated one fan when Miley came out to sign some photographs. “She’s still my idol. I mean, not many will come out after a show and sign as many autographs as Miley.”
Another fan stated that Miley had began to emerge from “Hannah Montana” first with tattoos, sexy music videos and in her private life living with a couple of guys she was in love with at different times.
“I still think she really was in love with two or three of them, but the other 10 or 12 were just a fad or phase she was going through.”
Will Miley have to go to “Show & Tail” to finally bury “Hannah Montana“. We believe that she probably will.

Leaving after four years on air without a fanfare, “Hannah Montana” set a record history with its Sunday, January 16 finale. More than 6 million viewers said goodbye to the Disney Channel series. The number outperformed its record-setting fourth-season average by 9 percent.
At 6.2 million, the rating was cable’s most watched telecast during 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. hour among kids 6 to 11 (2.1 million viewers) and tweens 9 to 14 (2.0 million viewers). It was at the same time, the Disney Channel’s highest ratings ever in the hour in total viewers and among kids 6-11. The final season of the show thus averaged 5.65 million viewers, its best season-long number ever.

Jeff Bridges closed the 2010 “Saturday Night Live” edition with a high note. The “Tron Legacy” actor appeared in some impressive sketches which include a duet with Cookie Monster, a Nick Nolte impression, and a Dog the Bounty Hunter imprint.
In celebration of Christmas, Bridges sang a holiday tune “Silver Bells” with the help of Cookie Monster who auditioned for a part on the variety show last month. The blue monster wished for an iPad from Santa but then corrected, “cookieeeees”. At the end of the song, Bridges pulled out two broken pieces of cookies from his back pocket for the “Sesame Street” character.
Bridges appeared as Nolte in “The Miley Cyrus Show” which has now become a regular sketch on “SNL”. Vanessa Bayer plays Miley, admitting that she was “really high” in a video tape where she was seen smoking from a bong. Then she invited Nolte to find out how he recovered from the scandal and whether he’s “a hundred years old”.
Bridges also assisted Fred Armisen in his spoof of Larry King’s farewell episode recently. But he was not involved in the Digital Short which boasted celebrity cameos from Jessica Alba, Akon, John McEnroe, and Blake Lively in addition to “SNL” regulars Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone.
“SNL” will return January 8 with Jim Carrey as host and The Black Keys as musical guest.
Home video of singer Miley Cyrus using a bong apparently to smoke the hallucinogenic herb salvia hit the Internet on Friday, capping a year which has seen the teen star throw aside her squeaky clean Disney image.
The video obtained by celebrity website TMZ.com was said to have been shot days after Cyrus’s 18th birthday in November.
It shows the star of Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” giggling and laughing after smoking from a glass pipe, commonly called a bong. TMZ said sources close to Cyrus told the website that the video was shot by one of Cyrus’s friends, but the substance was not marijuana.
“Is that me tripping!?”, Cyrus exclaims in the video, after using the bong and mistaking another person at the party for her ex-boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth
The herb salvia divinorum has hallucinogenic properties but is not illegal in California. According to a 2007 U.S. survey on drug use and health, about one million people had used it that year.
The singer’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, said on Friday he was saddened at the video, which quickly made headlines around the world.
“Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I’m so sad. There is much beyond my control right now,” Cyrus said in a Twitter posting. Cyrus and his wife Tish announced in October that they were divorcing.
Representatives for Cyrus did not return requests for comment on Friday.
Miley Cyrus has sought this year to distance herself from the “Hannah Montana” character she began portraying in 2006, winning millions of young fans.
She played a rebellious teen in romantic movie “The Last Song“, stepped out publicly with Hemsworth, and made two raunchy pop music videos.
The new image has dismayed parents of some of the younger fans of “Hannah Montana”, whose final episode does not air until the spring of 2011.
The video even caused one betting site, bookmaker.com, to place odds on what might next be revealed about Cyrus. Examples included whether she might attend rehab, or be dropped by her record label.
